Yes, we can, although it’s not always 100% necessary.

A lot of engineers will try and tell you they have to do it in order to install the new boiler – not true! It’s an important part of maintaining a healthy central heating system, but we’ll only do it if we think you’ll benefit from it.

There’s a number of reasons why that might be happening, and it could be a serious problem. It could also be an indication that you need a new boiler.

We put together this handy blog post to advise you on what to do next. Boiler Leaking Water? Your Hug Help Guide.

Plenty of things can cause your boiler to lose pressure, and the system won’t work correctly if the boiler pressure is too low. It could be the result of a leak or as a result of bleeding your radiators.

You can, however, usually fix the problem yourself – find out how with our Hug Help Guide to Low Boiler Pressure.

Your boiler will naturally make noises as it goes about its business, but sometimes they get a bit spooky and can indicate a problem.

Sometimes it’s easier and certainly more cost-effective to buy a new boiler when your old one stops working.

Replacement parts for older boilers can be expensive or sometimes aren’t even available any more. Even if you do get it working again, it’s still likely to break down and again and you’ll have to repeat the process – at an even greater expense.

Not only is a new boiler going to save you time and money on costly repairs, but it’s also going to be cheaper and more energy efficient in the long-run.

That totally depends on your circumstances, your budget, and the type of house you have. Combi boilers are more efficient, cheaper and take up less space, which is why 70% of households in the UK now have one.

There are plenty of advantages to having a standard or system boiler, though – you can read more about them in our Hug Help Guide to Different Boiler Types.

Your boiler can go in the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom or utility room, anywhere really.

Usually your replacement boiler will go where your previous boiler was. That cuts down on a lot of work and tends to be cheaper and quicker.

You might want to move your boiler to another room in the house to free up space – that’s perfectly doable, just make sure you let us know about it when answering the ‘Find My Boiler’ questions.

Depending on availability and the time you submit your enquiry, we can get your new boiler installed within 24 hours.

The time it takes can vary, though, depending on the type of boiler you’ve selected and the workload of our engineers.
